Administrative Team

Do you like being behind the scenes and helping in administrative ways?  This team helps with the smooth flow of our church.

 

Money Counters — This team takes care of counting, sorting, recording and depositing all of the offerings from the weekend services.  Must be a member of Sonlight Church.  Sundays immediately following morning service.

 

Publicity Team —This team manages all church advertisements.  Includes web page design and updates, newspaper articles, direct mail campaigns, church signs, display boards, commercials, etc.  Graphical designer and website administrator opportunities.

 

Graphic Design —This team creates all design elements to support our church mission through mailers, series graphics, shirt designs, banners, etc.  

 

Website Administrators —This team manages our web presence and keeps the site up-to-date.  They work closely with the various ministry leaders to ensure content is accurate.  They are responsible for streaming audio/video messages online.

Prayer Ministry Team

Do you have a heart to lift up others and their prayer requests to the Lord?  Do you have a desire to see God move in our Sunday morning services and want to be a vital part of that movement?


This team is responsible for keeping confidentiality and praying faithfully for our church body’s needs and concerns. 


Weekly Prayer Team — This team prays for every specific prayer request that comes through the communication cards or website.  May also contact those who submit requests via card, phone call or email to let them know they are being prayed for and to offer encouragement. Must be a member of Sonlight Church and have an active email address.


Prayer Event Team — This team coordinates all church prayer events and prayer devotionals.

Men's Ministry Team

The purpose of the men’s ministry is to help men get to know God and each other better.


Their motto is:  As Iron Sharpens Iron...Men Sharpen Men. 


Volunteers in this ministry help plan and coordinate events for men and their families.

 

We have Men's League teams that meet on a bi-weekly basis comprised of six men per team.

Women's Ministry

Do you have a desire to help women get connected and do life together? There are many opportunities available for you to help ladies connect and take their next step in their spiritual journey.


Volunteers in this ministry meet on the third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. for prayer, planning and preparation of upcoming events. Team leaders desire to build a team of ladies to help carry out our purpose of bringing women into a closer relationship with God and others. We accomplish this through the following areas:


Fellowship — This team is for those who have a heart for seeing women connect with others and includes hospitality and planning/coordinating various events and retreats.


Maturity — This team is for those who have a heart for seeing other women grow in knowing God more and includes planning and coordinating conferences, leading bible studies and other  opportunities for spiritual growth.


Ministry — This team is for those who have a heart for offering encouragement and support, as well as seeing women using their gifts and abilities for God.  Includes helping women find their purpose and place of service within the church family, caring for women within our church family through encouragement, lay counseling, support groups and mentoring.


Missions — This team is for those who have a heart for seeing others come to know God and includes planning and coordinating service projects, outreach events, missionary support, as well as evangelism.


Worship — This team is for those who have a heart for helping women connect with God through worship and includes planning and organizing prayer, music and the arts for each event.


Administration — This team is for those who have organizational, planning and computer abilities and includes researching and securing facilities, registration, publicity and design, finances and surveys.

Student Team

Do you get excited to think that a student’s life could be changed forever by Jesus Christ?  Do you share God’s passion for students’ lives to be ignited with their God-given destiny?  Then check out the many opportunities we have for you to impact a student’s life! 



 

Our Environment:


Sonlight Students meet weekly on Sunday Nights from 7:00 - 8:30 P.M. for small group connections to better engage our students.




Opportunities:

 

Life Group Leader — a gifted and trained leader to guide dynamic Bible discussion, promote group life, and help students realize deepening community.


Life Group Apprentice — a potential leader whose desire is to be trained and equipped to eventually be a life group leader.  This person helps the leader with all aspects of the meeting. 


Event Chaperone — a person who possesses organizational skills and likes to travel with students to various events and places, making sure the students are safe and cared for. 


First Steps Discipler — a mature believer who has completed the First Steps program and has the ability and heart to lead a teenager through the program.

Media Arts Team

Do you have hidden - or obvious - talents in media production? Or a burning desire to help the church use the latest technology to reach the community? Whether your strengths and skills are technical or conceptual, there's a niche here. 

 

This team is geared toward communicating God’s message in a relevant and compelling way by using technology and creativity in various ways.


Creative Media — produce compelling media and computer animations to enhance the mission of the church.
